This self-guided tour promises “the true story of Lizzie Borden,” the prime suspect in the 1892 axe murder of her dad and step-mom in Fall River. There is a courtroom scene (with replica bashed skulls), a murder scene (tape on floor, reproductions of crime scene photos), and replica family graves. But mostly it’s a lot of signs to read in a furniture store masquerading as a museum. Even in the murder room, signs read: “Antiques are for sale throughout the museum. If you find a piece you like please ask at the desk and we’ll be happy to help you.”
