Everyone’s favorite Boston-Moroccan-dub-jazz jam band Club d’Elf reconvene with the great Moroccan singer and multi-instrumentalist Hassan Hakmoun (d’Elf’s jam with Hakmoun from a couple of weeks ago on “Sunshine of Your Love” — in Arabic! — was killer.) Tonight, they’re trying to raise bail money for the defense of US-based Moroccan musician Kousmat Mohammed, who has been incarcerated by the INS after 27 years in this country. Joining Hakmoun are d’Elf main man Mike Rivard, oud/percussion guy Brahim Fribgane, slide guitarist Dave Tronzo, keyboardist Paul Schultheis, percussionist Vicente Lebron, and drummer Dean Johnston, plus other guests TBA.
