The XX make church music. Not in the sense of giving props to the Man upstairs, but rather because their music is delicate and comes from the soul, and you can’t help but belt along. Their mega-expeditious rise to indie superstardom has pretty much ensured that we’ll never see them occupy a place of worship, especially here in Boston. But they are playing the closest thing our city has to a Church of Rock, the Orpheum Theatre.
