If you haven’t yet heard Firehorse’s single “Our Hearts” then get over to their Bandcamp and give it a listen, post-haste. Ten-to-one, you’ll be hitting repeat all day. . . but if you neglect the rest of the album — the PledgeMusic-funded And So They Ran Faster — you’d be doing yourself a disservice. Singer-songwriter Leah Siegel’s debut as Firehorse (her project with former Rosanne Cash bassist Tim Luntzel, Joan Jett drummer Brian Wolfe, and guitarist Steve Elliot) melds commanding Chan Marshall-like vocals with haunting, eerily compelling instrumentals, and thoughtful lyricism. Firehorse joins Mieka Pauley tonight at Passim.
